Mark Vitelli,
Portfolio Manager

Mark has run marathons in all kinds of weather during downpours, in near-freezing temperatures and through blistering 90-degree heat. Such challenging conditions only add to the satisfaction of going the distance, Mark says. "No matter how much you prepare, the unexpected is always possible. You have to be able to adapt." Those same dynamics attracted Mark to investment management nearly 20 years ago. "Analyzing a company as a potential investment requires an understanding of that business, as well as the changing world around it," Mark says. While admittedly analytical, Mark is equally personable. "I like getting to know my clients and establishing a level of trust that's like being a member of the family," he says. The desire to work more closely with clients drove Mark's decision to move to Compass Capital from a major Wall Street-based investment house. A Twin Cities native, Mark and his family avidly enjoy all the region has to offer, including concerts, theater and sporting events. His son and daughter both play hockey, and Mark coaches his son's baseball team in the summer.
