Senior Portfolio Manager
Mark joined Compass in 2011 and has worked in the financial industry since 1992. At Compass, he is a member of the investment committee, which oversees the equity and fixed income portfolios.
Prior to joining Compass, he worked at Wells Fargo Private Bank from 2004 to 2011 where he managed portfolios for high-net-worth and institutional clients. From 1998 to 2004, he managed portfolios for a Forbes 100 family at Tonkawa, Inc., a Minneapolis area family office. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Minnesota Foundation, where he was responsible for their endowment portfolio. He also was an Economic Analyst at IDS Advisory Group (now Ameriprise) and a Credit Analyst at Sit Investment Associates. Mark received a BS in Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, an MBA in Finance from the University of St Thomas, and received a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Christine, and their rescue dog Gracie. He has two adult children and loves traveling with friends and family. Mark is a passionate hockey and baseball fan and plays golf when he can.
